I thought it sounded ridiculous but I didn't question it. I may ask in the AA forum.

19-23 July!
If that's when you're going, I stand corrected on my weather advice. Expect hot and humid in July.

One of the reasons I’m going! I’ve been to Chicago 3 times already, but never during summer!

You’ll have a good one.

Last time Inwas there in July was for a Maiden show. It was 106*(42C) that day. At the time it was the hottest recorded temp ever at ORD. (According to the news anyway.)

It was a burner, but oh well.

Don’t care; saw Maiden. \m/

And I've just managed to book a Cabana before and after my flights to and from JFK!

Just arrived back from 5 nights in Chicago.

Hotel. Palomar at 505 North and Illinois. Fantastic location, busy bar and free wine and beer everyday at 5pm. What more do you need. I recommend all Palomars in any US city.

You must do Tilt at John Hancock. Way better than expected.

Breakfasts. Go to Yolk. A breakfast chain. Talk about big portions! Delicious.

Just walk around, especially along the Lakeshore and Navy Pier.

The people were very friendly. I had the best time.

Sorry if you don't need any input on your time there but it's all fresh still.

Beautiful! It's a shame I won't get a chance to see any of that. Not this time at least!

Thanks for the tips. I've done most of those things already. I've been up the Hancock Tower, but haven't done Tilt though! I may end up doing it!

It won't be a hotel stay for me, as I'll be staying at a friend's!

I absolutely love Chicago. Was there in the bitter cold in February and had the warmest welcome everywhere (urgh, cheesy line, I know)

So, here I am in Chicago! This evening the plane is to go to watch the Cubs at Wrigley Field.... but the thunderstorms are coming, so there is a risk the game might get cancelled.

The weather forecast is horrible for the next 3 days, which has means I’ll havd to rethink my beach plans for tomorrow.

The plan for Sunday is to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin House and stop in Madison on the way back.

My flights yesterday and today were good. The B2B in INV was super easy, the LHR CCR has bored me, luckily I wasn’t majorly impacted by BA’s problems yesterday, the vegan and vegetarian meals in CE were a positive surprise, the food in First wasn’t very refined but quite tasty, breakfast on the LGA-ORD this morning was healthy and generous.

Just about to finish a beer and then it’s time to go and get ready for the game!

Hope you're enjoying the game! You've picked a good one to see as they're playing their rival.

Wrigley is pretty wild, huh?

It was a great introduction to baseball. And no thunderstorms nor rain!
