I'm sticking it out. Unless you desperately need the Avios there's no benefit to cancelling this far out IMHO.

Additional seats on the press flight for sale.
More expensive than the dearest Club Europe fare though...

HfP confirmed A350 schedule in today's article
The A350 will be used on BA464 (16.45 outbound) and BA465 (21.20 inbound) to and from Madrid every day from 6th to 31st August – except for the 13th, 23rd, 24th and 31st August.

BA456 (06.20 outbound) and BA457 (10.55 inbound) will also see the A350 on select days in August. British Airways has declined to provide firm dates for these flights. If you need to book a flight to or from Madrid anyway, however, it may be worth targeting these if BA464 / BA465 don’t work for you.

Maybe not until OLCI opens for your flight. I doubt they will update all of them at once.

Wonder if this means that it's being pulled from September?

It has indeed been confirmed that it will not fly to Madrid after the 30th of August. It will be starting on Dubai from 02/09.

Well due to a last minute schedule change on my end I'm not on the BA465 on the 10th and not the 9th. This means I'm on the Party Plane then apparently...

I can tell this is the Party Plane as CE considerably larger.

I'll be in Club on the 10th (Party Plane) and then back the 11th in hopefully WTP.

BA457

Do I have to fear that my 10th August BA 457 MAD - LHR wont‘ be operated by the A350? Or is there still a slight chance for me to be on this aircraft?

I don't think you will learn any time soon. I'm on 456 from LHR on the same day.

If it is the same as in the past with the A380/787 seat maps, it was 3 days out. This is also in the first post FAQ for those that may have other similar questions about the training flights.

Yes, your flight may now not be an A350 but equally it may. BA has been noticeably vague about the morning rotation so that (to me) means that it may not be a regular cycle as originally planned. However, BA have stated the morning 456/457 will be used some days so best to wait it out until 3 days before and see if the seat map changes, if not, then consider changing or cancelling. Hope this helps.

Post 1 FAQ and Post 207 Calendar image and points are now up to date given the latest changes to the training flight timings. I have only indicated the confirmed evening rotation in the calendar now as BA have been vague about the morning rotation. If it does appear to follow the previous timings for the morning run, I'll add them after the first week but equally it may be that the morning flights will not be repeating each week.

I'll go through the thread and ensure the wiki is updated with the posts that have been made regarding flights later today/tonight once the dust settles a bit...

Safe travels everyone, glad to hear the two rotations that were suggested will still be the ones used (and not the 777 460/461), if somewhat changed in dates and certainty about which dates for the morning rotation.

Anyone else care to join the MADness now that things have been somewhat confirmed?

10th Aug. is the party plane...

I had that flight in the basket before saying it wasn't available after typing in my card details. Thanks!
