I saw John Simpson in GF when we popped quickly in there just before the flight (after some shopping and an earlier CCR visit) and then he was behind us in the (badly managed) Group 1 as we boarded.
I was tempted to ask him to sign a copy of his current article, edinburghgirl!
Agreed, Genius1. I was a little surprised that BA had not directed him to the CCR (which was not too busy yesterday late morning) but perhaps he was only there for a short time like us.

A friend just boarded the OSL to LHR flight. They suddenly stopped the boarding process, a VIP vehicle pulls up and a man with an entourage goes onboard. There were bodyguards standing on the jetway and the seat next to him is blocked. He sent me a picture, but I have no idea who it might be. He’s white, middle aged and not a looker - if anything he looks like a Russian oligarch. His entourage does not look like your average WAG either, I’m intrigued...

Ah. The "band" (probably the roadies) were checking in much luggage when we arrived to bag drop. They seemed oblivious to being in everyone else's way... My husband (aged 40) did not know who they were...
