Need a year-end TP run (ex-LON) to make / retain status?
Some tips for searching for the year-end TP run for newcomers, the below is indicative only, but hopefully provides a bit of guidance for relatively straightforward runs ex-LON. Some information on how to use ITA matrix is in post #4 of this thread (or just click here) along with these ideas, might come in handy. Feel free to share results, problems or general questions in the thread as these may not always work and there might be better deals out there...

For overnight trips remember to check BA and Iberia for their flights and hotel option as well, can get hotel for almost no extra cost at times

Need 80 TPs or fewer
Club Europe return somewhere close by is best - DUB, AMS and JER usually cheapest along with UK domestic returns. Additionally you may find that trips in to mainland Europe require a one night stay whereas the cheapest domestic CE returns do not have any minimum stay so can be booked as a same day return. If doing a back to back AMS and JER can be easier than DUB for an immediate turnaround - more information can be found in the back to back thread listed in the forum dashboard. The BA.com low fare finder can be very useful.

If you need as few as 45 TPs you might consider booking economy flights and hoping for a proactive online upgrade offer - but they're not guaranteed to materialise (so not one if you have no more time left in your TP collection year). Alternatively, booking a return to one of the 40 tier point destinations with one way in CE and the return in ET (or vice versa if cheaper). UK domestic route, Bilbao, Jersey and Amsterdam seem the most cost effective for this.

Need 85-120 TPs
Iberia flights via MAD to regional Spanish airports will get you 120 TPs as the domestic Spanish flights are 20 TPs in business. Under £300 including hotel can be available. Check BIO, GRX, VLC, BCN, SVQ etc. Example here

Need 125-160 TPs
Take a look at the shorthaul plus routes earning 80 TPs each way in business listed in the first post of this thread, MLA, IST, HEL and RAK are usually available. If time sensitive take a look at BA flight and hotel option to HEL, where you can usually get the last BA flight out on a Saturday, airport hotel and first return Sunday for well under £500.

Alternative options include positioning to JER and flying JER-LGW-XXX (AMS usually works well and avoids switching airports).

Need more than 160 TPs
You'll most likely be heading north then - OSL or VNO via HEL will get you 240 TPs, as will JER-LGW/LHR-HEL e.g. LHR-HEL-OSL for £520.
DUB-LHR-HEL return (or return to LHR) is currently a very efficient way of hitting 200-240 TPs

Hello, I'm looking at the AMS to BKK/HKG ince fare now. I need to have a few nights in HKG but also need several nights in KHH. Is there any way I can route this fare over to KHH?

Currently out of AMS to HNL back to DUS, MUC is around £1,600

exGERMANY Sale Fare BA ILN4T1S2 to US in Business

Some information below on this sale fare from Germany to the US. I think this does cover multiple US destinations and some example prices are noted below. Routing with two connections in the US is possible so example TP earning can be:

DUS-LHR-PHL-JFK-BOS rtn = (40+140+40+40)x2 = 520 TP
DUS-LHR-JFK-PHX-LAX rtn = (40+140+140+40)x2 = 720 TP

It may be possible to route via HEL (e.g. TXL-HEL-LHR) but I haven't checked that possibility yet.

The fare does cover travel dates up to 31 October 2018 only and has a ticket by date of:

TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/BEFORE 08 FEB 18.
It seems to be available from all starting points in Germany, so DUS, HAM, MUC, FRA, HAM, HAJ, TXL, NUE, STR, and FDH

Example prices (exDUS and all via LHR):

NYC - £1,103
BOS - £1,115
PHL - £1,115
WAS - £1,134
MIA - £1,115
ORD - £1,106
LAS - £1,490
PHX - £1,490
SFO - £1,462

Some other starting points in Germany may be cheaper. Also there has been some comment that OTA prices (esp. German ones lines expedia.de) may be cheaper.

PERMITTED 25 MAR 18 THROUGH 31 OCT 18 FOR EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
This one is only for travel up to the end of October.

TRAVEL FROM INBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR MUST COMMENCE NO EARLIER THAN THE FIRST SUN AFTER DEPARTURE OF THE OUTBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
This allows positioning for your inbound TATL prior to the Sunday. You can therefore set off from PHX on Saturday arriving in to NYC during Saturday, have a night in NYC night, and then do your TATL on Sunday.

Wow thanks KARFA very interesting that this can be cancelled for CHARGE EUR 125.00.

Did you see my post re AMS-HNL-Germany - does this have the same rules or is it different ?

Sorry I missed it. Just looking now, it seems it's a combination of an exAMS fare ILN8C1S4 on the outbound and this exGER fare on the inbound for £1,600 rtn in J. The exAMS fare is not as cheap for most places in the US compared to the exGER, but actually the combination you noted seems decent for HNL. You are dealing with two sets of fare rules here, so the one above for the inbound portion, and ILN8C1S4 for the outbound - some details of ILN8C1S4 below:

PERMITTED
20 NOV THROUGH 26 NOV OR
18 DEC THROUGH 01 JAN OR
01 JUL THROUGH 31 AUG
ON THE OUTBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.

These ones didn't hang around long! Got to the final payment page a couple of times and couldn't commit! If I hadn't just spent £1,550 on PHX it would've been a no brainer

Disappointing to see those ex-Germany fares go so quickly. Just following on from what deboyzoned posted above, DUB-JFK-DUB is around 1250 euros, if non-Open Jaws are more useful for some. Other east coast destinations seemingly a little more.

It looks like you can go via Helsinki for 160 more TPs (80 x 2) for about 10 more Euros. DUS-HEL-LHR//LCY-JFK and return.

If you live in London you can do DUS-HEL-LHR - home - LCY-JFK-LHR - home - LHR-HEL-DUS for €1,664 around those dates (booked on variety of AY and IB flight numbers)
