I just checked potential bookings for LCY-GVA in November and economy catering is shown as BOB.

I assume without having checked that the 'enhancement' starts with the winter timetable.

  • Drinks and M&S food available to buy on flights to/from London Heathrow and London Gatwick
for LCY-FLR for a flight in December.

BA app shows complementary food and drinks for a trip to Orly in December. Remember it was charges for food and drinks may apply. So it isn't happening this year.

Does anyone know yet (or is it too early) the pax numbers for July/August for BA short haul specifically? As this is their first summer silly season with BoB and I wonder if it had much impact.

Or is too complex to figure out?! Would this then impact the decision to implement Cityflyer or is it simply a case of BoB isn’t going anywhere and the logistical & operational parts for LCY are still being figured out?

I think it would be very difficult to check the success rate so soon if the passenger numbers have changed, it would be difficult to conclude that it was linked to BOB and not something else which effected pax numbers (such as competitor prices/economy etc).

The logistics are not just an LCY issue. Over the weekends, the planes are serving multiple locations (STN / GLA / EDI / BHX / MAN / DUB / etc) without dropping back into LCY - so where would BoB catering get reloaded at weekends?

Catering is done locally at the airport, if BA getting suppliers to send trucks the length of the country, something's wrong.

Presumably from the same place the current CE and ET catering is reloaded.
