A shame BA can't do this for all its gold members as *A can.

Very timely given I am using HEX tonight (usually avoid as I object to it on many levels).
Assume the staff all know about this or has anyone encountered issues? Should I print the website?

Looking at the posts the HEX staff cant distinguish between GGL and Gold as people have been given the upgrade based on the gold tags which I guess are the same for gold and GGL.

You mean apart from getting a nicer seat, a magazine or newspaper to read, at seat power and better positions carriages...
Essentially, except the GGL on the top right hand corner. I've often thought that BA could do something different and special for GGL, like perhaps a passport holder or something.
Have to remember the trains aren't so nice as on planes if you are sat in the wrong cabin though, wouldn't want to get caught out by a fare evasion fine; perhaps if your told you can ask the conductor at the start whether 'BA Golds still get upgraded' or just settle for not getting something which they are not entitled.

Just took advantage of this offer. BA Gold was accepted on Express Saver fare. I have *G too so wanted to see if BA Gold would suffice and it did.
To be honest, I think as long as your card is gold anything, it will be ok...
