i don't post too often, but travel a fair bit on this route and to other parts of Africa. On this at least, I suspect the Ghanaian President speaks for a great many more humble passengers. BA crews typically are great, on what is not always an easy journey. But the planes are old, frequently late and costs tremendously expensive compared with other carriers and other routes. Perhaps that is just what happens when there is no direct competition

Honestly, I don't see that as a valid complaint. I generally find T3 more efficient than T5 - comparison slightly changed given the new First Wing. I find the CX F lounge equally enjoyable to the CCR (each has pros/cons).

Perhaps in the longer term BA might move flights without F class to T3 - that way the existing T3 facilities (Club and F lounges) would better meet the product portfolio offered, and F class passengers would always rightly have access to the F wing and CCR at T5.

He should try flying long-haul on some of the Gatwick fleet

‘There are complaints about the quality of the planes on the route and the service,’ said Mr Akufo-Addo. ‘In some quarters, there is a feeling that you are taking us a little for granted in the way in which we are receiving your services.’

The Media chose to pad the piece with xontextual irrelevancies.

There is quite a lot of criticism in the article that hasn't come from the President of Ghana, such as 60 schoolchildren being denied tap water on a flight to Naples, and an elderly lady being offered 40 compensation after being forced to sit in urine soaked clothes for the flight, or so the article says anyway.
Edited to add: are we reading the same article? I'm reading the one you linked from pressreader

How bizarre . I think his main point about the quality of the planes was distracted from by the irrelevant T3 argument. Imagine if all country presidents started complaining of the same in such a public fashion, its like an episode of Yes Minister.
