I honestly have no idea but I never heard it reported, contrary to my witnessed ants infestation in Lusaka (admittedly, a Comair 737 but still technically BA).

I am equally unable to document the multiple reported scars of BA bed bugs, though unconfirmed in J or F as far as I know. Of course, the army of cleaning staff (tens of agents) boarding each 777 or 380 QR arrival in CDG within minutes of pax deplaning, a regular sighting, may have something to do with it.

😂😂😂says miles about Swedish cooking😂😂😂
QR has started a culinary revolution in Sweden... after all a sandwitch CAN be roasted!!! Imagine if QR could make IKEA ktbullar with real meat!!!! It would become Sweden's new national airline 😂😂😂 add to this free flowing alcohol and boy! Adding 4 transfers is fully justified...😂😂😂

Hilarious. The idea of TWO slices of bread and toasted is lost in most of Scandinavia.

I think I will pass on driving from GOT to LHR. And for some reason my TA can never work out pricing GOT - HEL on QR is always much more expensive than via cph, lhr, fra etc.

LHR to PEK is a great route to use a GUF voucher. Incidentally, does an optimised AY routing via HEL not appeal to you?

After two trips on QR this year. I totally love the planes, food, service and lounges (toasted sandwich anyone?). BA F even with CCR just seems old and boring. Better wine and champagne. But death of a thousand cuts.

Someone tell me I am silly and need to book BA F?

Hi Koru Flyer

I loved the inflight service by Qatar and had some really good trips which were significantly better than British Airways and worth the additional routing leg. I felt Qatar really cared about the service they provided.

However the last few flights have experienced a more mediocre service in my opinion.

The last flights went wrong from start to finish (original departure time changed which negated the need for the departure location, 4 hour delay on the outbound, no amenity kit or PJs, 4 hour delay on the way back, no PJs, no special meals, deliberate attempt to stall taking action to get me onto a BA flight causing a 5 hour delay in Doha, both checked suitcases damaged).

Made a complaint and after several cut and paste replies the EC 261 claim has been refused as they believe it does not apply to them as they are not an EU airline and no service recovery for any of the other issues.

In fairness it is the first time I have experienced any problem with Qatar but if you think BA are bad when things goes wrong try Qatar !!!

Or simply the fact it doesn't get reported with great glee on here each time it occurs

Lufty, this is a very valid point... Unfortunately and for quite some time now (in my view it started when CE stopped being 5 abreast on narrowbodies), the problem is that BA have now become bad even when nothing goes wrong.

F catering or the inflexibility to change connecting flights for free even for max-status passengers are other examples.

My only experience of Qatar IRROPS was very positive. Fog at DXB meant we missed our connection to MAN. We were met on exiting the plane by an agent who had sorted out a hotel for a few hours. He then fast-tracked us through security (after sorting transit visas), and escorted us to the transport.

We'd automatically been booked onto the next flight.

My experience of BA IRROPS was to be dumped at DUB after a diversion from IAH, and left to fend for myself. No duty of care, and no re-payment of the 200+ I was out of pocket (I had to book an EI flight back to MAN).

As DreamTrip as stated..as a fellow GOT'er, we normally fly QR to the East via Arn. Never had problems with QR. Prices are better from ARN then LHR, i do believe. We fly BA Club World going to the USA and there is still no comparsion. The question you have to ask yourself is Will I feel special? Will I feel relaxed ? Only you can decide these questions. ALL in ALL , it comes down to you and your preferences. I wish you luck and always safe travels.
If there is a vote my vote goes to QR

Why don't GOT'ers fly East via HEL? Doesn't that reduce the connection, and AY now has flat beds to most of Asia...

I would go BA any day of the week , I sleep much better on the cw or f seats , I find the the positioning of the fixed monitor a complete pain if you want to sleep on your side and to be be quite honest i don't particular like the service , if your asking me ba or cx , on a direct flight , then I would opt for cx

Much as i think BA is scraping the barrel these days, i think you'd be mad to take a connection in J over a direct flight in F.

Beijing is on the 777 for both airlines, so the BA F seat is one of the better iterations whilst on QR its one of the worst.

I think AY suffers from being too close to SK. Another Nordic airline. Nothing flash there. And they are not as discounted from GOT as I sometimes see from the UK. Solid option but around the same price as QR and BA.

By living in a non direct market, transit s are just an accepted part of the game. Always chuckle when 6 hours after I depart I am typically flying over my house!

Oh, you're based in GOT. I thought you were talking LHR. In that case QR J seems the logical choice. More TPs and about the same service. More tiring though as the break in DOH does cut into your sleepy time.
