777 on MAD route S17

Looks like the 777 is being rostered on some MAD services from March. BA 458/9

Seems daily, in exchange for the afternoon/evening 767 rotation which becomes A321.

Thank you for the info OP!

I did a quick search and seat selection -- you are allowed to select 1A/K if you travel in EURO TRAVELLER and is a GOLD member!

Oops it doesn't work anymore...

Me too but as a Bronze every seat in F is greyed out as unavailable with no option to pick something in CW should you want to pay before T-7 days.

Had a look at a ET booking and row 21-25 in WT+ is greyed out but the really strange thing is WT from 26 - 39 is showing as a 2 x 4 x 2 layout, AB DEFG JK.

Yes very weird! The cynic in me is wondering, might these be training flights for he new 3-4-3 layout?! With the IT having not quite caught up...

With C & H missing from the seat map, I suspect you might be right and is going to be a 3 x 4 x 3 777 in ET.

I think I've seen that before when a LH aircraft operates a SH route - as WT+ is 2-4-2, the system carries on the same logic.

Tempted to book this for my next MAD connection but I need an evening flight really, while the IB A330 service is too late. Standard old SH for me then...

Me neither on a dummy booking. All F seats were available and selectable. Am now mulling a weekend in MAD next year.

Think it's us lowly Silvers that don't get a look in at seat selection (although that's not what is supposed to happen)

Ive just done a dummy booking as I need approval from T'other half before I book! I am a Gold card and was presented with the seat map for First which was nice. But then I noticed that it was only the First class cabin that was available, not the Club World one. So I was thinking - are they only offering CE in First and everything else is ET?

Also, if I make a booking for 4 people, 2 of which are Golds and 2 who are Bronxe, would I be able to select First seats for all of us? Would this be affected if the 2 Bronzes were to get to Silver first, as they are almost there?
