BA tier points and avios earned on redemption flights - mistake?

In my experience (and others' -- see above) it is not that unusual for MMB to show tier points in advance but for none to actually be awarded. As it's an Avios redemption I'd be extremely surprised if you actually received TPs for your forthcoming trip.

I seem to be in a similar position.
I booked an Avios 2-4-1 booking and flew the 1st leg a few days ago.
My account is now showing the Avios and TP I have 'earned' from this booking.
Now the question is, do I push my luck?
My Tier Point Collection year ended 2 weeks ago, and I was about 40TP short of maintaining silver. However with these new additional TP I will maintain silver which I would expect will need a phone call, to request such a goodwill gesture?
