Domestic connections also show fine on ba.com. If you do a same day connection it prices the domestics in I but price is ~£350. If you instead use the multi-city tool (either for same day or overnight conection at LHR) the domestics price in O class (or similar discount class) and the price is around £280.
I was trying to do this to book with various. But I get:

Error
British Airways and its partners do not fly this route. Please consider alternative destinations or call your Executive Club Service Centre.

Also, I'm struggling to get use google flights to price it up with multi-city - the fact that some elements are in Y seem to throw it.

And one other thing, am i correct in saying that there has to be an overnight in TLL? I was toying with the idea staying in HEL and just doing a day trip to TLL

Overnight in HEL is possible.

What dates are you looking for?

You could do this for 1 night HEL 2 nights TLL, and get the shiny A350. Book with bookthematrix or just call BA.

If i just to a search on ba.com for out 9 November and back 12 November LHR to TLL in business it does show the fare with lots of availability.

Overnight in HEL won't show on ba.com. You can use itamatrix as shown by benjai then call to book.

Hi, I'm not experienced at all with TP runs so be gentle. Using the BA TP calculator it shows 40 TP's for LHR to TLL yet 80 TP's LHR to HEL, or am I doing something wrong?

It indeed seems to be the case that the new TLL route won't be a SH+ route and therefore only yields 40TP.

For your information, the TLL route is slightly shorter (1,126 mi) compared to the HEL route (1,151 mi).

If you've got connections each individual flight credits separately. LHR-HEL in business is indeed 80 TP and HEL-TLL in the full Y fare (as there's no business cabin) is 20 TP making it 100 TP each way.

If you book on the BA direct flight you only get 40 TP as mentioned previously.

I was looking for a nested intinerary towards the end of November but prices seem to be hitting £367 for the LHR-TLL sectors on the required Saturdays compared to a third of that for any other day.

Is it the 25 November? That's pricing fine for me.

I'm in Tallinn on the Friday so was ideally looking for something back to LHR on the Friday evening or TLL-LHR-TLL on Sat 25th. Cheap leaving TLL either day but 3x the price coming back next day / same day.

TLL-LHR on the Friday or Saturday is cheap.
Try to do the return to TLL on the Saturday and there are no flights until Sunday.
Try to leave TLL after flying from LHR on the Saturday and there are no flights even though you can fly from TLL.

For anyone who wants to go to Helsinki or Tallinn when it's warmer and the days are longer, it's possible to book BA LHR-HEL//AY TLL-HEL-LHR for £255 for much of 2017, and also AY LHR-HEL-TLL//HEL-LHR for £279.

For this price, LHR-HEL-LHR will be under a BA code and may also be on BA metal. You can book on Amex Travel.

You can take a ferry for the missing leg between Helsinki and Tallinn, otherwise the price is £323.

Alternatively, there's a new AY J sale ex-TLL to Asia for £1000 (BKK available), and skip the last leg...

i.e. LHR-HEL-TLL // TLL-HEL-BKK-HEL (-TLL + ferry or skip) // HEL-LHR - I make that 480 or 500 TPs for under £1300

Remember each ticket needs to have a Saturday night stay in it.

So you can fly LHR-TLL on Friday on ticket 1
Back TLL-LHR on Friday on ticket 2
LHR-TLL on Saturday on ticket 3

There's enough time to do TLL-LHR-TLL-LHR on the Sunday using the return legs of those three tickets!
