Do you get reduced TP and avios if using the partial avios option
Hello,
Ive tried searching but cant find any info...
Im looking to book a return trip LHR to CPT in January, in Premium Economy.
There is an option to get £220 off my booking for 40000 avios.
Now this is a tempting offer, however Im trying to find out if theres a chance I will earn less TP and avios on the booking?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

You get the same TPs and Avios.
However you are getting 0.55 pence value per Avios. If you have a mountain of otherwise useless Avios, never stay in hotels, never hire cars, don't drink wine, then that is perhaps worth doing. If you got £400 or more pounds off (which is sometimes offered about twice a year) then that may be a bit interesting. Personally I look to get 2 pence value per Avios, so around £800 of value for this amount of Avios, so I would not see this as tempting.

My purely anecdotal evidence and experience is that every booking that has something altered or is not a simple ex/to LHR return flight usually does not usually get POUG offers.
I did receive quite good offers for AUP to and from South Africa in the past.
