What happened to the CCR/F lounge burger

As food at the end of the day, I have appreciated BA's relatively straight forward burger. Not the best but not the worst and probably similar to what you would get in the airport.

But, in my last two attempts (this week and last), I have noticed that the patty has moved towards one of those cook from frozen meats which is just not tasty at all.

Is it just me, or have others noticed this change.

No great problem, the curry is usually a good choice.

No surprise. :-(

Just like any change at BA these days. Cut, cut, cut.

I thought my burger in T5 GF this week was very poor quality, and chips were cold. I left most of it to be honest.

Which no doubt will be reported up to the Cruzible (Alex Cruz's office if you did not already guess) that portions are too large and need to be made smaller due to customer feedback.

I would guess so!

If I was in a traditional restaurant, it would have been sent back.

So now we will see based on customer feedback that the burger is removed and replaced with a kit kat as appropriate for the time of day...

Yep. Could save a few quid by removing all the catering equipment and doing a twice hourly 'basket pass' around the lounge, on the hour and at 30 mins past. Everyone loves an 'ambient snack'.

I got 8 boxes of Celebrations for 5 yesterday from Tesco so I'm covered then for my next CCR visit and a good 100 economy transatlantic flights

If the burger is anything like those you get from burger vans, it will be an improvement. I find most "hand-made" burgers made from minced beef a bit tasteless. They do need more snouts and entrails etc. in them.

Twice hourly? That's something that would be enhanced down to once an hour in no time at all.

Did you get the full four or has that been cut too. (Sorry one of my bugbears is the lack of chips with the burger.)

Good to see we are all thinking along the same lines.

All the food could be enhanced away to be replaced with ambient snacks.

But why have someone walk around with them?

It would be even cheaper if the ambient snacks were available behind a counter, available on request.

That would involve staffing a counter.

Instead - they could put them in vending machines, with 2 tokens each handed out upon entry.

Then they could enhance that to one token.

Then decide that they want to automate lounge entry too and replace the special BA tokens on the machines with some form of token that everyone already carries with them - say .. cash.
