What do you consider a 'deal'? Is £730 on BA/QF good enough? A little more guidance would help.

If you book now, you can do EY for £616 ex LHR.

There is also an £1100 WTP on BA/CX exSVG for Feb.

Honestly I dont really know at this stage, I was hoping we could get Y for £2000 for the 4 of us, so that is not to far off.

Dragging the wife and kids to SVG so we can fly back again before going to PER is a non-starter.

Thanks for your help, its great to be able to set these realistic expectations of roughly where it will be priced

Then book the EY deal today. ExLHR, 1 transit and only £250 more than your planned (slightly low) budget (assuming your kids are between 2 and 12).

Summer holiday in JNB (exUK)

Early July, with QR to JNB from BHX for £442.

henkybaby May 1, 2016 3:52 am

Ireland to South Africa £300 in WT, £850 in WTP

Took me a while to find this thread back... :)

DUB-JNB/CPT in WTP for between £270 and £300 in Y. source and a kayak search. Have to do a bit of digging but you can find great deals.

£848 if you do WTP, which I also find a good price, if you compare to CW.

Ba bsl/zrh-jfk wtp rt 807chf

LH has a new offering for 807CHF in Y+.
BA matched.

WTP for me perfect for GUF use from CH because pretty often excellent prices.

Thanks, tempting deal especially if those jersey legs get 40TPs. Looks like you can also terminate in London for a similar price.

They do indeed accrue 40 TPs. The question is whether the schlep over to JER (from LGW, bear in mind) is worth it, given that the ex-LON fare is between £600 and £650.

As ever, a lot will depend on how convenient LGW is for you... as it's my nearest airport, and reachable in 30 mins by NatEx coach for £9, I frequently add a JER-LGW to the front of my J trips for 40 TPs at very little extra expense.

In the particular case of the JFK trip quoted, I would happily pay £8 London Bridge - Gatwick plus £17.50 RFS LGW-JER + £9 coach fare home = £34.50 for a saving of at least £125... but then, I value my non-billable time at zero and have no wife of kids wondering where I am :D

Thanks to all those who flagged these WTP fares.

For those looking at Dubai, include AUH either on the outbound or inbound (e.g. DUB-LHR-DXB; AUH-LHR) and it's £381.

Availability for UUA into J also often better from AUH than DXB.

Fitch Jan 22, 2017 9:34 am

Thanks for this, but swapping out AUH for DXB in either direction (or both) only saves me €12 on the dates I'm travelling so can't be bothered... :)

Thanks for pointing this one out! Me and a mate are having a few days in Dubai... DUB-LHR-DXB-LHR-NCL for £417 in WTP. 210TP's and triple Avios makes for a decent price!
