I may be wrong but I think the ATC clips came from liveatc.net which when you select the tower frequency it will scan between all tower frequencies not just for a single runway. As such I presume the female was controlling the runway IIO was on and the male another runway. I could be very wrong though.
The other possibility was either she was in training so had a tutor with her or that LAS AIR operate similar to how the Heathrow INT controllers do and have a support controller to sort out the stacks of in the case of an AIR controller sort out the runway holding points?

BA2276 was taking off from 07L.
Just looking at the liveatc app the tower is under "KLAS Del/Gnd/Tower" which actually includes four frequencies, so both towers and also both gorund frequencies.
Las Vegas Ground (Runways 1L/19R and 1R/19L) 121.900
Las Vegas Ground (Runways 7L/25R and 7R/25L) 121.100
Las Vegas Tower (Rwy 01L/19R, 01R/19L) 118.750
Las Vegas Tower (Rwy 07L/25R, 07R/25L) 119.900
So if these recordings are taken from liveatc it is not surprising that you hear other controllers in addition to the female tower controller who BA2276 are actually with at the time.

Just spoke to a friend who was on the flight. He has nothing but praise for the captain and crew, and he says that despite the news surrounding people leaving the plane with bags, he didn't even notice anyone doing it; he was off (from Y) so quickly.
However, he says the ground experience at LAS was absolutely appalling. He left the plane without his bag, phone, wallet, passport, etc. and as such didn't have a single penny or any way to contact anyone. They were in some crappy $40 a night hotel, and when the BA rep turned up some hours later, he was told that he was not allowed to use the hotel phone to call home as it was "$100 a minute" and he should "borrow someone else's phone to let people know he's ok". True story.
He then said he asked for a way to contact his credit cards or bank to get some money to pay for food/drinks, and was told "no it's fine, we're getting some water from the supermarket for you".
Sounds like the overnight experience was seriously sub-par.

Glad to hear there were no luggage bin dramas hindering your friend's route to the exit. I would have thought they could have helped out with the phone calls at the very least.
My personal experience of going down the slide (much less dramatic than this one) involved us all being bussed to the airport fire station where a table of drinks was laid on and a room opened up with phones to call home.
After a couple of hours and some leaflets about counselling being handed out we were actually allowed to return to the plane and collect hand luggage (definitely not possible in this case!) Hold luggage was ready when we reached the terminal.

According to reports ''British Airways has put them up in a huge hotel and casino complex in Las Vegas, illuminated by neon and patrolled by security guards.''
Doesn't mention the name of the hotel but it doesn't sound like a Days Inn to me.

Did this rep by any chance say "we do not underestimate how disappointed you must feel at not being able to call your family or get any food to eat"..?
Talk about letting the side down just after your colleagues have saved hundreds of lives and performed impeccably under duress!
