There are mice all over Heathrow - staff see them frequently.

Has anybody ever seen a mouse on a plane?
On Alaskan. Several at the same time. Big ones too.

I saw 3 mice, (together, eating an old cracker), in the Continental President's Club at IAH Terminal E a few years ago. I reported it and they said they already knew

Furry stowaway feasting on build up of crumbs...

Apparently BA55 from JNB was delayed overnight the other day because a mouse was seen on board and the aircraft (G-XLED A380) had to be fumigated.

Sounds expensive!

Wonder if it was in the cabin or the hold. Personally I bet it boarded at LHR and has flown the equivalent round the world several times before being spotted.

Qs: What agent is used to fumigate? Is this done regularly and what are the human health implications (other than that posed by the otherwise rampant rodents?)

I was in the Skyteam lounge late one evening last year. It's on two floors, and the staff were trying to convince the few remaining pax upstairs to relocated downstairs. I managed to delay a little until there was just me and one other person upstairs. I then saw two mice zoom across the lounge. It was rather shocked! Once I found a member of staff, they admitted that they knew about the mice, as did Heathrow, and the terminal was full of them. I'm not surprised that they arer also in T3. Must be horrible for the cleaners late at night

Having said that, one of the few highlights of taking the tube is seeing the mice scurrying around the tracks as the trains come in.

Why the need to blast poisonous chemicals at everything? As multiple people have said a few neutered cats would do the job just fine.

Just cos a few people get the sniffles around cats?

I guess cats are visible whereas the more harmful to more people chemicals are invisible.

Crazy upside-down world.

In summery then, BA need to rustle up 2 cats, 3 falcons, a cobra and a jack russell in order to protect the lounge going passengers from errant wildlife

Never saw any mice in T3 on May 5th when I flew out to Lisbon but then I'd had a few glasses of Pink Fizz (if my chums from my military days could see me now) in the Cathay lounge before I got there so I'm not really surprised. Once saw a mouse on a stair in Amsterdam though.
