Row 64 have an extra window but at your feet so not hugely useful. My ranking would be

62K > 64K > 62A > 64A

64A is my least favourite as there is light pollution from the galley and a little bit of disturbance from lavatory traffic.

62K was too cold for me, being next to the emergency exit. 64K is my personal favourite

I am facing this dilemma for my JFK-LHR later this year! At the moment I have moved from 64A to 62A to get away from being in close proximity of the lav. Just read a TR that suggests 64K is private compared to any seat.

Can anyone comment on the alignment of the windows?

I have tried 62K/64A, and 64K. My preference is still 64A or K though. Row 64 has four windows, whilst 62 has three since the emergency exit door comes in where the fourth window might have been.

64K

62K

...and just to complete the series, here is 64A.

That's assuming it doesn't get swapped for a 777 by the time you fly (as seems to happens to me all the time)!

angeloedades, along with the very valid reasons to prefer 64K put forward by KARFA above, another thing to take into consideration when pondering between 62K and 64K is the view. Would you rather be in 62K looking at this:

or in 64K looking at this?

Thanks KARFA, I knew you will be useful at some point ^

Thanks JustTheOne, I think 64K is the way to go now. Lots of windows and a cleaner view (not sure what that means!).

The K seat would be better for incoming at LHR, since the usual landing-route is westerly and you see more of the city from the right-hand side of the plane when you do the last turn on approach. Never sure about JFK since it's always dark when I leave there.

Also I believe the issue of too-small overhead bins on UD is more A380-related than 744. I have always found them more than adequate on 744 but they are very small on the front seats of the A380 (I think that is row 50), but in exchange the loo is quite spacious!

At the top of the stairs immediately to the right is the coat locker. I usually put my bag in there and then you don't have to mess with the overhead bins. My laptop bag fits into the bins along the window.

My personal favourite is 64K. There are 4 windows, nobody to climb over, easy for disembarkation and most of all it's incredibly private.

As 64K is not available and 64A may or may not be a cot seat, I have taken 63K. 62's are not available.
This may be my only chance to fly this aircraft and I don't want to take a chance that 64A is a cot seat and I am asked to move.

So 63K for now ........ until I over-think this more and change again!

Having done both numerous times I still will take 62K first with 64K as my second choice. Just my personal opinion

63K is a fine seat. You are worrying too much.

64A is not a bassinet seat and has not been for at least 5 years.
