agreed, which is the one and only issue that needs addressed. Who sat down setting up their computer systems then writing the 'rule book' and thought aah lets just pick U class.

So yes the EDI-LGW//LGW-EDI sectors will be covered by separate fares in the cheapest acceptable class, hence the problem

Last time through LHR on award tickets (U Class), FCO-LHR-EDI: was ready to hand over my CE BP from FCO to save any arguments, but somehow gave the wrong BP, Gave BP for domestic leg and was refused but quickly said it was a U Class ticket, give the guy his due he immediately delved into his computer and checked the booking then happily waved me through asking how I knew about the U class giving me access.
I just smiled saying I was glad he knew about it after previous performances gaining access to the lounge.
