A reminder - those offering guesting are quite happy to be guested to a superior lounge! There is no need to post a separate request with your offer, this is in the interests of efficiency and housekeeping of the wiki.

Please add your details directly into the wiki if you feel confident/have wiki-posting privileges (must be member for at least 90 days/90 posts). Alternatively, please post as normal and someone will be along to add the details here.

Etiquette guidance: Send a (polite) private message to the poster if you want to be guested in, but do NOT pester (I'm sorry to have to spell it out) - take the first answer, it might be a yes or a no. If you are expecting to be guested into a lounge, please don't expect your "guester" to do all the work such as coming to find you, it is just plain rude. The more posts you have on FlyerTalk, the better your chances, as most people do not want to meet a complete stranger. Likewise, it is generally accepted that you do not post on behalf of your friend/relative if you are not going to be there as this is for FlyerTalker users.

Please only post meetups for oneworld lounges. Meetups at other alliance/airline lounges such as SkyTeam/Star Alliance or at the LHR T5 Aspire Lounge etc should not be posted here.

My friend was of the opinion that money does exchange hands and is a fruitful little business. But let me be clear he did not mention anything about flyertalk. And I am not accusing anyone on here at all. Like most people on here I am under the impression that its a nice thing to do.

Certainly not here.

It is against the FlyerTalk rules of conduct to barter services outside the Coupon Connection forum. I would encourage you to report any such offences

The lounges are very nice, but, except for the champagne, there are similar facilities for a negligible price elsewhere in the terminal.

If I guest a member, I expect him/her to endure a polite chat with me. That experience soon dissuades them from accepting further lounge hospitality.

I would suggest yorur friend does not come on FT and try and do that. It is against FT rules and I am sure against BAEC rules. It would be a clear abuse of the guesting policy.
