travelling solo to HND, seating plan shows it to be 14F 777
Currently in 2A, but 1A & 3A are available.
Should I stay or move?
Thanks

Just booked a 'sale' fare for November LHR-JFK-LHR, out WTP back First to accompany my mother (who is 81 and deaf with cochlear Implant).
This will probably be our one and only First, on an overnight from JFK 747. We don't converse a lot due to my mother's deafness but she lip reads. I have chosen 2A/K as we will be asleep for a lot of the flight.
As we don't normally converse on aircraft due to background noise and I intend to dine with her using the buddy seat I am hoping I have made a good choice.
Does anyone know if there are 'loop' systems on board for people with hearing aids/implants ?
Many thanks.

I think it's been asked before, but I'm struggling to find it right now.
Couple on the 747. Evening flight from LHR to JFK. I've just achieved Gold. We've done the middle seats already so I'd rather do window. So far we have 2A and 3A. I could move us to 1A and 2A, hoping that 1K will still be available closer to departure. But I'm worried it be awkward to seat next to a stranger in 1K, should that be occupied. What are your thoughts?
YouFirst said that 1A and 1K open for non-Gold only at check-in but not at -72h. Is that true?

A380 query
Solo traveller. Apart from 1A / 1K, which would be a good seat in First on the A380.
Currently in 2A out, 3A back, but also wondering about 4A or 4K.
My first First so no experience. Advice welcome.

4A & 4K are closer to the galley ( it is just behind the curtain behind 4AK) so you might get a bit more noise in these seats

My mum flew in 1A on a 777 and said she could hear Galley FM if she didn't have her headphones on or earplugs in. She said that they weren't talking excessively loudly but for some reason she heard every detail, including the odd thing that she doubted they intended to broadcast

I have a choice of 1A or 2K on the 12-seat version of the long range 777. The BA source says 1A is more private, but 2K is on the side with the two seats only, but the map shows a bassinet close to it (next to 4F). I am intuitively drawn more towards 2K (unless I am unlucky and there is baby in the bassinet). Solo traveler, night flight. What would you pick?
1K is also available, but it seems undesirable.
