I know that it wouldnt make sense (to have such a big increase on one particular flight rather than spreading it out over flights throughout the day) and might not be practical BUT, what would an all J 747 be like? how many seats could you fit in?

I assume existing 70 plus 14 from F cabin (if not 16/18/20 doubling up current window rows towards back of F cabin). and then presumably easily another 50 (i.e. CW downstairs again). and possibly a few more rows? so maybe even as many as 140 J?

Or buy 747 - 800, and keep the smaller upper deck going. I'm no great fan of the A380

Willie was quite clear on that during the call : "We remain committed to the orders that we have, our 12, and we are not at this stage looking to increase that," Mr. Walsh said.

Which can often mean that or that they are in deep discussions which they do not want to prejudice.

A380 has a lot of weak slots that are likely to be cancelled so I would not be surprised if there were deals to be had as the inventory book based solely on EK would not seem a great model to me!

BA and what should be possible are not always aligned

Assuming they can get their IT to do this, what would you think the Avios cost would be? Just double the WT+ to CW UUA?

It already does cater for it with economy to business on AA and economy to business on BA on European services

I doubt that, should BA increase the size of the business class cabin, that it will choose to do so at the loss of the entire premium economy cabin
