Lots of general information about Jersey in post 1, and more details on the plan for the day

Plan for the day.
Date/TimeSaturday 26 July, 1200 - 1830 ... there's another booking just in from 1900, so those still on-site will have to continue downstairs, or elsewhere. Radisson?
  • The Bar, St Helier [on the Waterfront by Cineworld, and near the Radisson Bleu].
  • The Bar's website is here with their Menu etc.

Food and Drink
  • We will have the Upstairs Bar and Terrace
  • The kitchen will (by special request) be in operation for us from 1200-1800: so basically eat when you wish. I'm conscious that everyone's different arrival times and overall schedules makes a single sitting rather impractical.
  • PLEASE don't all try to order at the same time, or the kitchen will get swamped!!
  • Yes, they take Amex

You can't imagine how relieved I am ... I remember the first one, pouring rain and howling wind!

Just done last checks with the Manager ... mainly to ensure he remembered he's keeping the kitchen open for us all afternoon!

He's been warned to have at least a dozen bottles of fizzy stuff in the chiller cabinet. Theres some sort of offer on pink fizz (type unknown) at c. £15 a bottle - all will be revealed when we arrive, but possibly the Jack Rabbit sparkling rosé Zinfandel (for the brave) ... http://www.liberationgroup.com/media...0Web%20Use.pdf

Careful when ordering food - its your own tab! Last year they nearly rolled it up on one account. I'll make sure the staff are aware tomorrow when I get there [around 1200]

So we can't all pretend to be chris1979 and put everything on his tab?

Looks like 100% markup on retail, so they're not taking the P.
£18 Prosecco may be evaluated

On me way, we're slumming it on public transport though, albeit BA's finest offering on the route, there were some big CBs over here this afternoon, best avoided in a jalopy like mine.

mmm, i am supposed to be getting the LBA service down tonight BA1345 and it is delayed from 2100 to 2303 already - is there some bad weather at LHR? Anyway, not sure whether to gamble and go to LBA on the basis the delay may go down or just bin it and get the train down instead. Am staying near LGW and I don't fancy making my way from LHR to LGW at midnight (guess the coach is the best option at that time). Even worse is the risk it gets delayed further and just gets cancelled in which case I am stuck.

It is a one-way ticket so no cancellation of later sector issues.

There are a number of delays at LHR, I assume due to weather earlier.

Enjoy guys. No matter how I tried it just didn't work out for me. My little girl decided to come home, she is sleeping now and I had to accompany a dear friend to the hospital.

So have fun, lots and lots and lots of fun.
