The deal sounds great but shame it doesn't help out any UK/EU flyers!

but it's almost good enough to do a positioning to the US just to get the deal!

though it's not a good TP earner. Babybus plus HEL and a domestic F beats it easily for similar cost.

I agree.

It rightly belongs in the Good Deal Premium Fares thread and doesn't really qualify as a mileage or points run.

well, 500 TPs for £1,150 ish is at £2.30 per TP so "qualifies" under "wiki rules".

Also think we are in here
a) the friendly and helpful bunch
b) the bargain hunters
c) the thrill seekers
and d) of course TP maximisers

so, rather than posting it in the "When is the next Sale...." thread, it felt like a good one for here and I think those flights fit into a, b and c with just a bit of d not least given not everyone can always check all other forums and this is "home" for many of us.

I think it was worth exploring in this thread, at the very least to save others the trouble. ^

Also worth keeping a keen eye out for other US mistakes. They seem to happen every few months.

I am still hoping for the return of the IB ex France as well (though know it wasn't a mistake).

Unfortunately that wasn't published, so you have to go to iberia.com and look for yourself.

If it is under £3 per TP why shouldn't it be highlighted here? A good deal fare may also be a good TP run, they are not mutually exclusive.

I think this as a mistake fare obvioulsy has risks associated with it, and you may have your booking cancelled with no recourse, but it is still worth highlighting although probably not worth several pages of discussion

It's a mistake, but DOT rules are pretty tight on the matter. I wouldn't consider this fare a risk myself.

I'm very happy to clarify my post.

I was merely agreeing that, as a run, it wasn't in the same category as others highlighted on here and is really more of an opportunity to sample a premium cabin not normally available at those fares. There will inevitably be overlaps between the 2 threads and I wasn't saying it shouldn't feature here. Nevertheless, I do still think it's more a good fare than a run deal.

If people want to include deals of this type on this thread I have no problem whatsoever with that.

Yep, that was the inspiration .
