... A cold towel when it's 30c outside. Nice adaptability by BA - pretty uncommon occurrence at LHR I imagine!

Qatar Airways J normally have a choice of hot or chilled towels...certainly is refreshing to get a nicely scented cold towel when its hot.

Got one of them at GVA last week - was great, especially seeing as the gangway to the plane was boiling!

The QR towel has a nice heavy weight and features a silk inlay...:

...delivered in fine style on a small black tray...:

...and featuring the QR logo:

Very different to the rag you get on BA!

Crew on BA818 LHR-CPH today came around the CE cabin with a tray of water as a pdb! I thought this was a very thoughtful touch.

I knew at that point that the service was going to be stellar - and it was.

I flew LHR to East Coat US in F on Thursday, back again in F today. Great service and nothing to moan about but I didn't receive a single hot towel. Have these stopped, was it due to the flight timings (day flight out, red-eye back) or was it overlooked for some reason (twice)?

I like it. The airlines here in the U.S. should take note.

It was overlooked. Hot towels should always be available in First, Club World and Club Europe.

They are good for cleaning grease from windows, dirt from trays and seat controls, and fingerprints from IFE screens.
