G-RAES

Hi - I would like to find out more about G-RAES (i.e. refurbished cabins/upgraded interiors or just info in general). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

It was the first GE engined 777 to get new WT+, WT and the Thales IFE. It is called G-RAES after the Royal Aeronautical Society. Other than that is just another boring 777 with the normal horrible Club dorm.

I wonder if the front steam ovens in the first galley have been fixed yet?

It was delivered on 10/06/97.
It is configured 14F/48J/40W/122Y
It has AVOD, NF and the new-style WT and WT+ seats

I have flown on it and it is very nice. The seats in WT and WT+ are very nice and the IFE is the new Thales and really good too.

And the galley sinks are blocked so you will see the crew wandering back and forward to the toilets with tea and coffee pots, or as we did a large grey slops bucket!!!

Other than the galley sinks there were no major defects and and the seats and Thales IFE were in good working order.

Ovens in First were all in workig order too.

And some would argue it's the sludge from the nasty coffee bags that's caused a large rise in blocked aircraft sinks and associated increase in engineering costs.

I digress.
