What a beautiful thread - so many wonderful pictures make my own snapshots seem too inferior to post.

I shall look in on this thread frequently!

Some from County Mayo. Was intending getting to Connemara too, but spent too long on the Mayo coast on the Wild Atlantic Way. Learning to drive has been a revelation. I think I will look into taking a 1:1 course somewhere. My images are good, but I know they can be better.

All with Pentax 645Z and 28 - 45

Was going to take some early morning photographs of Temple Bar in Dublin this morning, but after 9 hours of driving yesterday, I overslept in a comfortable bed in The Gresham.

Very nice photos. I particularly like the textures in photo 4.

Thankyou. If you look carefully you can see it is pouring with rain. The forecast was for dry with sunny spells. The met office failed to persuade the Atlantic coast that though! Bad weather usually makes for better photos

A few night shots of London landmarks coming in on last nights BA985 from Berlin. Only had my iPhone but hope they inspire some less ambitious photographs from those that do see some interesting sights and try to snap the moment!

We approached from the East and the sky was quite clear but couldn't quite get the pictures reflection free...

Central London with the London Eye and the Shard quite visible:

A slightly better image of London:

And a shot of Wembley just before getting in to final approach:

Love the pics from the pro's to the amateur...thanks to all those that share them ^

I think you're being harsh on yourself, those photos are fantastic.
It's said the west coast of Ireland has the four seasons all in one day.

Thanks. I left my hotel in Castlebar a little late to have breakfast with colleagues so didn't get down to Connemara until dusk. You are right about the weather, but it does make for dramatic photographic opportunities!

I'd totally ruin the beautiful scenery with this photo from my most recent trip to Shanghai. I have an odd job (not a clown).

So I'll try and balance it with some shots from my last flight to Athens in July. These at least have the good grace to have been shot on actual film.

Me too, very unusual photo of the clowns.^ Gives the impression it's a tough job!
