Is it just me or does anyone else find the advent calendar 'deals' non starters so far?

For example for the 6th...Save 20 off holiday prices...really?

20 quid?

Maybe someone else can get excited about that kind of deal but I can't...

Sorry but I can't even be bothered to post the picture and T & C's any longer...

Desperately hope things are going to get better before the 20th...

Maybe I have just had a long day...curious what others think?

That is a good deal, however, it wasn't part of the advent calendar (the sale for IST was on just before the calendar came up)...good to hear some people can take advantage of it ^

C'mon BA...bring the goods. @:-)

No, not just you - exactly the same here! Can't get excited about 20 or 50 quid of a short break.

First 100 to sign up get 10 free duty free vouchers!

I just submitted 3 at around 00:20, wonder if I was fast enough?

Although the button does say "Enter the draw", so I wonder if it's only 1 10 voucher to be given to a lucky winner out of the first 100 to sign up? Surely they are not that hard up right?

[*scratches head]

Edit: found the T+C

So is it the first 100 people, or 100 people drawn at random from everyone who signs up, or both? This is confusing!

For the first 100 people, treat yourself with a 10 on board duty free voucher.
1. This prize draw is only open to Eligible Participants. An Eligible Participant is a resident of the United Kingdom, aged 18 or over and who is not an employee of BA or of a BA Group company or a member of family of a BA or BA Group company employee. BA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Eligible Participants.

2. By taking part in this prize draw, Eligible Participants confirm that they accept the terms and conditions set out below.

3. To enter the free prize draw simply enter by visiting ba.com and submitting the requested details on the online form accessed from day 8 of the ba.com Advent Calendar (ba.com/advent). Enter between 00:00 and 23:59 GMT Saturday 8th December 2012. No purchase is necessary. Entries which are received after the competition closing date will not be counted.

4. Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries will be disqualified. No bulk or third party entries will be accepted.

5. There are a total of 100 prizes of 10 British Airways Highlife Shop onboard duty free vouchers, one prize per winner. The winners will be drawn at random under independent supervision and notified by email within one week of the closing date. The winner must accept the prize within 5 days of notification. If the winner does not accept the prize within 5 days of notification the winner will automatically forfeit the prize and BA will re-draw, and so on until a winner is confirmed.

6. The prize will be dispatched in the month of January 2013.

7. The prize vouchers are valid for purchase of onboard British Airways duty free goods from the date of issue until the expiry date printed on the voucher. No replacement vouchers will be issued in case of loss or damage or any other reason whatsoever.

8. Vouchers are only valid on mainline scheduled services operated by BA with a BA prefix number, but excluding flights between the UK and Eire and certain shorthaul European destinations. Vouchers are not valid on BA franchise, codeshare and alliance airlines. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or voucher.

9. All prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable and no cash alternative or substitution at the winner’s election will be given. Notwithstanding this, BA reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value in unforeseen circumstances. All third party terms and conditions relating to the prize apply.

10. The winner is responsible for any income or use tax assessed in connection with the prize.

11. The winner’s name can be obtained by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope between 1 and 31 January 2013, to Simon Bennett, British Airways Plc, Waterside (HBB2), PO Box 365, Harmondsworth, UB7 0GB.

12. Personal data will be taken from all entries received but shall be limited to those details reasonably necessary for the administration of the competition. This information may be shared with any other third parties reasonably involved in the competition without liability to BA or such third parties.

13. By entering this prize draw, the winner agrees to take part in any publicity relating to the prize draw and grants BA permission to use his or her name and likeness and confirms that he or she will obtain from the guest permission for BA to use the guest’s name and likeness, for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited).

14. By entering the competition you assign to BA the complete copyright and all other rights in any entry, which shall be for the full period of copyright.

15. The Promoter’s decision is final and no other correspondence will be entered into.

16. BA accepts no responsibility for damage or loss resulting from misdirected or incomplete entries arising from computer malfunction, viruses, bugs or telephone malfunction or other such causes. BA has no responsibility for any malfunction, delay, loss or damage caused by the competition webform, its malfunction, or the actions of its administrators. BA is in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party web sites or home page access or where any reproduction of the information contained on the competition webform misstates or omits any of the information or terms and conditions connected with the competition. BA will not be responsible for any technical fault or failure which prevents a person from entering the competition.

17. Promotional materials form part of these terms and conditions. This promotion is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

18. The Promoter is British Airways Plc ('BA'), Waterside, PO Box 365, Harmondsworth, UB7 0GB. Registered No 1777777.

Not sure whether this is worth a tenner in all honesty!

I see you've looked at the T&Cs. They also state:

There are a total of 100 prizes of 10 British Airways Highlife Shop onboard duty free vouchers, one prize per winner. The winners will be drawn at random under independent supervision and notified by email within one week of the closing date. The winner must accept the prize within 5 days of notification. If the winner does not accept the prize within 5 days of notification the winner will automatically forfeit the prize and BA will re-draw, and so on until a winner is confirmed.

So not quite as it could be interpreted with the 'first 100' part. What they really mean is we'll only draw 100 entries!!
