So, I used the tool to transfer my BMI points into BA EC. It worked perfectly. BUT - on the same day all of the transferred avios were simply removed from the account as if they had expired, and my balance is back to zero:
Date Description Tier Points Avios points
04-Jul-12 Expired Avios 0 -xxxxx
04-Jul-12 Combine My Avios 0 xxxxx
Any similar experiences? What would be the best way to contact them? I do not feel like spending an hour on the phone to discuss this with a clueless agent.

It doesn't email you or anything does it?

Am I missing something here ?
Follow the instructions and whenever I click on the 'Combine my Avois' button all it does it load up the full Executive Club 'home page' in the window in the middle of my screen.
Internet Explorer 9 on PC does this
Firefox on PC does this
Safari on Mac does this
Chrome on Mac does this
.... is this really the degree to which BA want to welcome those BMI'ers to their world with the usual high quality of website testing
(
Anyone found a way of doing this that actually works ?

Anyway, my advice stands. Why rush? Unless you need the miles now then wait until the bugs are ironed out, rather than everyone rushing to crash the server.

I don't think anyone's been 'rushing'. We all got an email saying we could now transfer. So people did - trusting that a large corporation like BA would get its act together and actually design a transfer tool that works. But you're right - never, ever trust an airline's website.

![Question](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
As a semi retired traveller I had a modest balance of BMI DC points (30185),
So I transferred them to my BAEC - a virtually defunct account with a 0 points balance
Transfer went through and points credited on 4 July![Wink](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Checked today - lo & behold, my BAEC account now shows a ZERO balance & a transaction of - YES MINUS 30185 points as an Expired Points Deduction!!!![Thumbs down](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
![Thumbs down](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
Of course then comes the hassle of contacting BA - the 'Peasant's line is permanently busy and cuts me off'![Thumbs down](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)

They don't do e-mail (probably frightened of Leveson?)![Confused](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)

AM I BEING SCREWED = Depends on your point of view!!!

And YES I AM BEING SCREWED
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Apparently I shouldn't have used a defunct/expired BAEC number!!!
![Confused](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)
IF it was defunct/expired HOW COULD I LOG IN???
![Confused](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)
![Confused](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)
So having logged in to this defunct/expired BAEC account and transferd my BMI points (which BAEC acknowledged!!!) they then decided that as the account was defunct/expired to ZAP my newly transferred points
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Can the account be resurrected?
YES make an AVIOS transaction!!! ^
BUT I just did that!!!
![Confused](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)
BUT your a/c was defunct/expired!!!!
![Thumbs down](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
CATCH 22!!!
BUT if you now make an AVIOS transaction we can resurrect said account
OK HOW
BUY 1000 AVIOS for 16
![Frown](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
YES well OK then
![Frown](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
PLUS 15 transaction charge
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
![Mad](https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Finally resolvedly using my TESCO account to make a 600 AVIOS purchase for 2.50 Tesco's and a 6 week wait whilst the account is credited & will then have to CALL the Call Centre to prompt them!!!
Is it worth it - I'm supposed to be retired and watching my blood pressure (and the pennies)

Successfully transferred my meagre remaining balance of 6k DC miles to Avios. And to a Household Account as well!
