Gold Guest List reward joker

Hi

It looks like this year I have enough trip planned (3 world tours) to reach GGL status and am considering doing so vs. using also Star Alliance flights.

The trick that would really kick in is the added reward capabilites.

What do the 2 jokers really mean?

With 1 joker can you

book RETURN tickets in CW with miles to any destination (provided there is paid availability) for 5 people?
Can I use a companion voucher?
Can I book partially in miles, partially paying a fare and using Gold upgrades for 2?

Thanks so much

As I understand it, the joker opens up availability on any flight in any cabin unless someone else has already played their joker for that flight and cabin. It doesn't matter how you end up getting the ticket for that cabin.

I'm sure someone else with GGL will be along to clarify this further.

Would be brilliant if that IS the case!

Have a read of the Dashboard. It opens up seats if

* The relevant fare class is available from the UK Point of Sale (A for F, D for Club etc)
* No-one else has jokered on that flight
* Up to 5 people
* Can use companion voucher, MFU etc
* No idea how much you can combine

And there also needs to be seat availability too, obviously. Also they sometimes won't initially take a booking if the flight looks full to them (but Expertflyer has J3 or something), but that generally clears down after a day or two.

Last few times I intended to use the joker it turned out there was availability anyway! Also bear in mind a flight with general availability is also less likely to be rammed, so that has merit.

does it differ from the 2000+ TPS for 2 years running or 5000TPs in one year?

3000 TPs per year in two consecutive years or 5000 in one year.
