Just take the ruddy batteries out, people

I had a bag that was buzzing when it arrived on the belt, I thought that my luggage had been interfered with and something akin to the rabbit of the rampant kind had been added. Turned out my electric shaver had been turned on by the baggage handlers thumping my bag around, I see it's not just me this happens to.

I'm glad it's not just me. One doesn't want to be a lot of bother after all!
The crew always are allowed to get up after take off before the pax? I'm not jealous or anything, it's only a couple of minutes after all. But why is it safe for CC to walk around but not pax? Or is it that it's best to keep us I our seats while you sort things out after take off?
What's in the packet that always gets passed off the plane before anybody leaves?
(ps - why is it only clockwork rabbits that cause a problem? Are clockwork teddies and lambs OK for some reason?)

The packet contains details of the cargo carried on that aircraft.

On some flights we have to get up before everyone else, otherwise we'd never get the service done in time. JER being an example. Gear up, crew up, usually. Yep, it's steep, but one gets used to it. We keep the seatbelt sign on until we're "top of cloud" or whenever the Flight Crew sees fit. If the weather is causing lumps and bumps, we will be notified when we can get up, usually by a call from the Flight Crew.
Is the packet white? Made out of plastic? If so, that's the Cargo Documents. If not, then could you let me know what it looks like please?

LHR Air Traffic Controller here:
Funniest thing (albeit unintentionally!) flight crew ever asked me, was at about 1330 on 18th December, 2010 at.......
"Errr, Tower, the snow doesn't look too bad, do you think the runway will be closed for long?"

Company account? Are you having a giraffe??
No chance of such luxuries. At LGW we get Breakfast in the hotel (except USA trips) and in one hotel we get AI (due to the nature of the hotel). Everything else we have to pay for, such as beverages, lunch and dinner. This is where the term Delsey dining comes from We can be quite good at making cheap concoctions in our rooms in order to save money.

Many years ago I worked for CO, back in the Frank Lorenzo days (note to youngsters: google him and see ). I wasn't flight crew, but I dealt with a lot of them. The airline had arrangements with hotels in every city they served, and when finishing a flight they usually headed off to said hotel where the room was paid for, or at least reimbursed. The price may or may not have included any meals.
As a side benefit, we all had company ID's, and that was usually good for an 'airline rate' at most hotels, car rentals, etc. that the airline had arrangements with, so I often used my ID on vacation to keep the cost down.
PS - never heard of 'Delsey dining', but I can imagine ...
