Not true. All the 747s and 767s have AVOD but there are still some 4 class 777s which still only have a loop system. This flight is operated by a 4 class 777 so there is a chance of there not being AVOD.

Seriously? That's a bit pathetic (on the part of BA) to be honest. How many aircraft are there that still don't have AVOD?
Either there are very few left to convert or I've been very lucky over the last few years!

These are the ones that are slated to get the Thales system, so will be better than the DTES on the other aircraft. I think there's only a few like this though.

I have to say that I haven't had a single 777 flight WITH AVOD this year so far (in around 20 777 flights so far). So, I guess I just keep ending on the same plane.
Further to that, for the last 4 legs (last one on Saturday), there has been an announcement that they have had problems with the system and that only 4 channels are working.
Looks like the loop system is struggling. I do hope they get these changed soon.
I have another 3 777 flights in the next week, so will let you know.

TLV
Out of my last 8 or so legs on BA164/165 to/from TLV, only one has had AVOD - so I guess they use the non-AVOD on shorter routes. This seems fair to me.
Main problem I have is that PE cabin on these birds is v small (only 3 rows), so there is very rarely any availability in PE. That is my preferred class, as it gives connections in Y in Europe and ability to MFU to the large C cabin.

My flight back from UVF earlier this year was the loop system, or would have been if it had worked.
It's an issue that really should be sorted quicker than it is. Mind you, I'd rather they concentrate on New First as I have a first First trip next year and no flights at all on 777's

I haven't seen AVOD on the route (on the 777) in over a year and I travel it at least once a month.
I'm sure this wasn't the case in the past as I recall having AVOD on a regular bases on the route.
