Award Ticket Change fees
I am trying to get 3 of us JFK-LHR-VCE in F late next Aug and returning in Sept and the Olympics are making this difficult. To complicate it, I will be using a Chase 2 for 1 award voucher.
I can get EWR-LHR but there is no availability from JFK yet. There is also no availability LHR-VCE. With only 1 flight a day, this may never open up.
Is there a fee to change departure from EWR to JFK if that opens up later? Time and date changes are free online but this is an origination change.
Also, if I read everything correctly, booking JFK-LHR then adding in LHR-VCE later will be the same amount of miles (or points at that time). Am I correct in that evaluation?
Also, this will be cheaper after Nov 16th so I will wait until then.
Any other advice on this is appreciated.
