Thank Christ for Skype. I'd never used it before today, but I'm able to call the UK from Las Vegas for around 1.5p a minute.
This isn't the sort of game of one-upmanship I want to win, but I was on hold for 90 minutes before the call dropped and have just started all over again.

I hate that ***** music.

At home in Palazzo Pucci in the Kingdom of Surbiton with four stranded crew. All male. All handsome. All wonderful company. The neighbours are agog witht he flutters. The curtains round here are twitching and Her Opposite has ( according to two of them) been dusting her bedroom window sill for the past 20 minutes. They probably think that, knowing that Him Indoors, that these are my Tricks du Jour and that I am leading the lot of them into a life of vice and debauchery. As my House Guests have been out running in shorts that seem to have been sprayed on them, and it is abundently clear that one of them has been circumcised (relax I am a nurse there is nothing that I have not seen), I would imagine that my door bell will be ringing for any pretext from cups of sugar to flight enquiries most of the day. I did not realise how many of my neighbours do not go out to work.

So my reputation is sealed. A tried and tested Trollop they may think that I am. I am a Jezebel. I am exulted.

Sadly, Him Indoors would be far more to their taste. I am more like Mother Superior than Sister Philomena the Nymphomaniac Nun (who was on one of our flights back in the days when we did actually fly).

Life can be so unfair can't it. ()

Lucky enough to be in the excellent Hotel Naoura Barriere in Marrakech, courtesy of Land Rover. (One day you must remind me to tell you about my trip on the Land Rover 'Experience'.)

Supposed to be back to LHR on Royal Air Maroc today, but will have to tough it out by the pool with a bottle of Bombay Sapphire instead.

Very nice to be looked after by someone with a big credit card.

Well PUCCI the least you could do is invite me round. Sitting here twiddling ones thumbs due to flights being cancelled out of LHR. Have been offered a downgrade to premium whY on Sunday Thank god for LX was my answer to that.

Anyway I thought I could come over and do some market research with the lads. I would love to know their views on whether hats should be brought back for the first-class crew. We could sit on your Vi Sprung if you lack the number of chairs round your dining table?

Got a 1st class seat on National Express East Coast booked to get home to Scotland. Contemplated driving, but with the school hols drawing to a close, I don't fancy the M1/M6 on a Friday afternoon.

If the ash is still around on Monday, will be working from home.

Stuck at sheraton heathrow. Was on the way home to finland from Taipei.

My next flight is BA to SEA on Saturday at 3pm. Still hopeful, but have booked a hotel in london for next week and plan to work out of london my flight does not leave.

As home is finland, even if UK airspace opens up, Finland is going to take much longer!

Meant to be be operating tomorrow afternoon's Miami, so now booked on the overnight sleeper train from Edinburgh. Just hope I sleep on the way down otherwise I can see the posts on here about grumpy BA crew going through the roof.

If the MIA ends up getting cancelled at least I can now pack a tight pair of shorts and bundle myself off to Pucci's garden party!!!

Am stuck in New York. At end of business week here, had arranged little treat for Mrs WHBM to come over here from London on Friday afternoon and join me for the weekend, both returning Sunday, so that has been lost. Already considering having to report back to the New York office on Monday.

Also considering returning via Los Angeles, Tokyo, Mumbai and Rome, then train to Calais, ship to Dover (as Eurostar is apparently full) and home.

BA recommend using their website to cancel, so have looked at doing that for Mrs W's trip, and they offer a refund of 90, which seems to show they are just calculating as normal. Yet another area of the website not developed adequately it seems.

Stuck in Warsaw now for the weekend - not the best weekend to be stuck here with the the whole of Poland 'shutting down' for the weekend for the Presidents funeral

The Hilton has a nice Casino though so I might spend most of the weekend there - with a distinct possibility of coming home bankrupt

Stranded in Narita, Japan for at least until Monday. Staying at the Radisson and might be heading into town tomorrow and just doing nothing until that apart from using the "free" time to start editing my 4,000 holiday pix

I'm at the Sheraton Heathrow now, moving to Skyline tonight; might as well earn some stay credits and the FT 1000 bonus point promo if I'm going to be stuck

my flight is Sat a.m. *fingers crossed*
