The latest version (2010) of the First cabin (termed "Prime" internally by British Airways, or "New First") is available on all 4-class 777s and all 747s.
An newer evolution (2013) of the First seat (Prime+) is found on all A380s, and a newer version still (2015) is available on all 787-9s.
The older version of the First cabin (termed "Classic" internally by British Airways, or "Old First") has now been withdrawn.
747 information updated to 31 March 2016. Last change: withdrawal of G-BNLF, the last OF aircraft

Im flying 286 SFO-LHR in first on 6/13. I just looked on the BA website and it looks like their seat map shows this as a mid-J flight (only 52 J seats to pick from). If so, I gather from reading posts here, that there's a 50-50 shot that it will be New First.
Do they adjust configs based on seat demands? I'm wondering if this flight is designated as always mid-J or whether there's a chance BA could change it to a high J at some point, which I understand would give a near 100 chance at getting NF on this leg??

With the final 777s due to be completed shortly that will only leave the Mid-J 747s as a lottery. Whilst the cot position may be a guide there is of course always the possibility of last minute substitutions in any case.

Thanks. Actually, I've just realised that it's tomorrow afternoon's that I will need for my flight tomorrow evening (too many margaritas! ); I forgot that another MEX flight has appeared on Tuesdays.
The strange thing is that today's flight is showing as due at 19:38 and I am sitting in the Mexico City Hilton exec lounge (it's Happy Hour!) looking towards the airport and monitoring FlightRadar24 and the BA flight is not showing. Is there a good reason for that?
