I read about korean airlines now banning zippo-laptops from the cabin and you *MUST* check in your laptop, can anyone confirm ?

Wonder what the DfT will make of this latest incident. Am sure they have a ludicrous knee jerk reaction up their sleeves.
I don't know whether checking a laptop in is any safer than having it in the cabin. A fire onboard is bad either way
- at least in the cabin it is likely to be noticed and hopefully extinguished.
