BA door instructions

On previous BA flights the announcement (as far as I remember) has always been “Cabin crew doors to automatic/manual and crosscheck”. I flew recently 4 sectors on the A350 and noticed the instruction changed to “doors armed/disarmed”. This seems to be a procedure change as the CSM had to correct himself after inadvertently saying automatic. Is anyone aware if there has been an instruction to change this PA and does it only apply to the Airbus fleet? I think Boeing use the automatic / manual terms.

It only applies to the A380 and A350 as they follow the Airbus procedures, BA had the A320 manuals rewritten to standardise with the other fleets.

That English version dovetails into the French language equivalent, which is "PNC aux portes, armement des toboggans, vérification de la porte opposée". PNC being cabin crew. and "désarmement" for the arrival version.

I believe it was also arm/disarm on the DC10's based over at Gatwick back in the day too.
