This was discussed in the BMI thread on Pprune a while ago and the impression was that it was a done deal, although there was some confusion about where the aircraft were coming from to service it since the 145's had all been supposedly transferred onto BRU etc.

BRU might be covered by Brussels Airlines once LH has its way. You never know these days

I was also under the impression it was already a done deal with a start date of 1st July. I think the unresolved problem, for bmi anyway, is its current lack of 145's to comply with the two permanent, one on standby, aircraft requirement.

You mean they might have to scale down the busy Aberdeen - Norwich shuttle instead?

Well that would be a great use of a GUV - double the number of hot towels

FlyBe withdrew the lost of it's ex-BACON ERJ-145s last week, I believe (again, see PPrune)... I'm sure the folks in Exeter would be delighted to off load some of them to BMI-R.

The Airbus shuttle should place no demands upon the existing fleet/network. Two new units are earmarked for the operation. No idea where they are from, but BE/BAcon seems the most likely.
