SAA JNB-TNR (Antanarivo, Madagascar) - redeemable or not?
Building on some 50% of BA flights to JNB I am working on getiing to Madagascar. SAA (operated SAA Airlink) fly the route with an RJ-85 and it shows on the Star Alliance timetable. However it does not show as a redemption option on ANA (there are no options on this route error message)
My assumption is that despite not being on ANA I will be able to redeem on the route but would appreciate some reassurance before doing battle with the ICC. Ta.

Question was asked last month.

The answer is, not anymore. While SAA looks like an SA partner, smells like one, it's not even an alliance partner of SA anymore, it's merely a codeshare flight.
