Have any of you any experience with getting a 1st class seat on the Singapore Airlines flight from New York JFL to Frankfurt? I have been refused late June. Do they tend to release seats nearer the time, or does it swing up and down?

Also tricky getting 1st redemptions on UA within the US. Wondering if they release seats nearer the time too. Although, unlikely for a Monday morning.

Obvious way to find out is to see if there are seats available over the next couple of weeks!

Can anyone tell me the chances of getting 2 F seats on CA938 this autumn, say October?

I can't check it on the ANA tool, just wondered if they give F seats up on this route?

Not knowing Air China flight numbers off by heart it is difficult for me to help without knowing the route. However Air China award availability is available on Expertflyer. Maybe pose the question with some exact dates and routing in THIS thread if you don't have access yourself and I'm sure somebody with a subscription will be happy to help.

CA938 - operating between LCY/LHR - PEK.
I have had a look from 1/10 to 31/10 but no availability in C or Y.:(
However, I checked 1/11 and 2/11 as well and there is loads there. 4 in C on both dates.:p

EDIT: Just saw you are asking for F seats. However, CA938 is operating a 330-243 in Oct as er expertflyer and it does not have a F cabin!

Thanks mahajanvikas, this sort of rules CA out. I'm actually looking for 2 F seats from LHR-KIX (any suitable route) during the first two weeks of October.

If you want *A F between LHR and KIX your best bet may be LHR-FRA-KIX on LH (surcharge and all).

NH offers F LHR-NRT and then connecting onto KIX but good luck grabbing an F award seat on that route in October except perhaps last minute.

If you were looking at South Asia I'd be suggesting LHR-IST-HKG/SIN/BKK on TK...

How about Swiss from ZRH to NRT, I can then get the train, LX160 looks like a good bet. Can then get a cheap flight to ZRH to save on tax & miles :)

You can get a really cheap OW flight on Aer Lingus. They have just stared LGW to ZRH. I just bought a OW flight the other way.. it cost me only CHF15, all taxes included!

Starting in ZRH won't save any miles.

What are the maximum flight sectors allowed on one award trip?

Have been trying to get some availability on the SIN-DPS route for over a month now. Very flexible on dates after September this year but I can't find a single award seat in Business. Have checked 25 odd dates this morning from May till Dec 09 and not one seat available.

Something is going on here! :confused:
