Yes, but there are never any guarantees. LH are still offering lots of business seats for sale, in all price classes, and the seat map shows very few assigned seats. Looking at flights in the next few weeks, there's often good availability.

Worth checking whether there are any holidays, trade fairs, sporting events etc. that might make your travel date unusually busy. If not, I'd be fairly optimistic.

I know, I know that economy is not really the best use of points. But I'd really like to go on this trip. The whole journey will probably be six flights on four carriers. I could probably survive one leg in economy.

The major problem here is that I'd like to fly together with my friend, and he cannot change his award ticket. So I'm kinda stuck. Either book economy in the hope that biz will open later, or take another flight, or stay at home. None of the options are optimal.

Can someone check availability for me on Swiss LHR-Zur-LAX out on 21 November return same route 26 or 27 November.

Thanks very much. I'm still working on getting to SJO from LHR in January 2012 but am waiting for the flights to be available (out 3 Jan return 20/21 January).

Number of seat? Class of travel? It helps to narrow down the search.

That said, and starting with the outbound: I'm seeing 2 F and 9 C on LX 40 (ZRH-LAX) on your date. For the return, 8 C seats are showing on LX 41 LAX-ZRH on both 26 and 27 November.

My own searches rarely bring quite such pleasing results for my first choice dates. This is M&M availability, of course -- hope you manage to book them without any difficulty!

Oh yes: for LHR-ZRH on 21 November and the return on 28 November there's availability on several flights. Select the ones that work best for you from the timetable and ask the call centre.
