Manchester Drinks Fri 5 Dec. 08- "Merry ******* Xmas bmi Manchester"
Well after the news today about the imminent demise of the Manchester routes, it is time I think to suggest a few pre Christmas drinks for a board meet up in December.
A few good reasons for a meet-up:
1) We haven't had any board drinks for over a month
2) It'll be almost a year since the last bmi meet-up in Manchester
3) The opportunities for bmi dos are getting smaller. This time next year we will be quaffing strong continental beers in Munich or similar
4) We need to have a few drinks to toast the ending of the long-haul ops out of Manchester
5) It'll almost be Christmas
6) I promise I will stop posting my usual moans elsewhere on the board until after the drinks*
We now have a date set:
Friday 5th Dec
Venue - Crown and Anchor pub, 6 Cateaton Street
Timing - 7pm onwards

Cateaton Street is in the centre of town between Deansgate and Cross Street, next the Big Wheel.

Actually, that is a good suggestion. I have added in the evening of Friday 5th December as well as an option. That way anyone not too close to Manchester who might fancy a bit of a social can make a night of it and potentially stay over in the area.
Would a Friday night preclude any of those already saying they are up for attending? Will a Friday night be better for the some of those who haven't responded yet?
