Fare Code Query

Looking at "How to Earn Miles" from the BMI website.
Thai airlines adds up as follows.

3.0 x F,A,P
2.0 x C,D,Z,J
1.5x -
1.0x U,Y,Q,M,B,S, H,T,K,G
0.5x V, W

Looking a possible booking with TP, the Fare code is - QJ3MGB1

I'm guessing I just take the first letter to calculate the millage multiplier?

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response..

My gf is concerned that our annual holiday choice is being dictated by the number of miles we can accrue opposed what we are actually going to do/see when we get there..(where ever there is)!

With around 15,000 miles we will both hit BMI Silver (currently on Blue Plus with a few status miles knocking around).

I am sorry. Is there another reason to choose a holiday destination?

Yep - Hotel points too as well.

Mrs RAPC fancies Antigua or Barbados, SPG has no hotels there, so we'll save it for another time. Her 2nd choice is Miami. US Airways have some good fares in Envoy, SPG have hotels....hello anniversary trip in November. Simple really

This is perfectly normal. After her first free helping of wine from an airline lounge because of status, her first flight in business class because of miles and her first free hotel room upgrade because of points, the complaining tends to disappear

My other half recently volunteered to fly to St Louis, Missouri for no other purpose than renewing status. It's been a long struggle but the brainwashing is now complete

I can second that. My wife's *S is expiring this year, and after years of ridiculing my own status retention strategy, suddenly she's decided that, actually, she does like checking in at the C desk, and she does like the lounge, so she would like to keep her status. So she's flying a major mileage run over a weekend in a couple of weeks to do precisely that.
