Would this work??????
I see from the Hilton threads that there are very cheap nights($15) available at the Hilton Hurghada. Is it possible to book a stay, no-show, and still get the miles credited to your DC account or must the stay actually be completed?

I have no showed recently on a 5 night booking in Malaysia.
As a result, I recieved no Hilton credit nor BMI.
It is stated in Hiltons terms that no mileage/stay credit will be recieved for a no show.

Is there anyway to get the miles on a flight that I had to cancel but go no refund (only taxes) as it was a non-ref ticket?
it was supposed to be in Y with Lufty last oct.
I have until now just assumed not ...

In these circumstances, your best bet is to do online check-in even though you don't intend to fly. This sometimes (at least on BA) triggers the miles and tier points for the flight.
(And the reason hotels won't credit you for the stay is that is would encourage 'phantom stays'. Whilst you may think that the hotel would welcome these, they actually reduce takings from the bar / restaurant / room service / web access charge / laundry etc and properties like this one would find themselves with a disproportionate number of no-shows, especially during promo times.)

What might work is making the reservation in your name and that of a guest and paying someone to stay there for you or paying for the room to be used by someone else. Either way, best to get the room charges settled in cash.

I am curious if after doing online check-in with BA and printing your boarding pass if it's still possible to put in for a refund on the ticket or a date/flight change after no-showing despite online check-in. Is it possible or is the money for the ticket wasted?
