Why refunds department is so bad ?

- I've been issued an award ticket with wrong taxes on februrary 27th.

- I've called ICC on februrary 28th and they told me they asked the revenue department to credit the difference back.

- I've sent an email at refunds at fybmi dot com on March 31.

- I've received this answer on April 19th :
"Dear Mr G_G

Regarding this issue. Yes, we were advised by Diamond Club to refund back the amount of £xx.xx as it was mentioned to you by one of their people and I will be refunding it back to your Visa card.
I will send you an email once I've done the refund which is sometime this week.

Regards
Maria B.
bmi Revenue Services"

- Since I didn't receive anything since this email, I'm sending emails again and this is what I'm receiving now :
"Your message

Most airlines seem much less efficient (or at least quick) when dealing with refunds compared with taking money for sales etc. Not sure bmi is much different from the others. In the end it pays to be persistent - but try not to let your blood pressure rise too much..

I have found it to vary from carrier to carrier -bmi is partcularly bad/inconsistent at providing refunds, IME. Gulf Air is b+++y awful - my last refund (for circa £2k) took about 16 weeks & only happened after MUCH chasing from me

I'd suggest ringing revenue services on 01332 854534. They are UK based and quite helpful and they processed my refund same day when I had a similar issue.

Yes, otherwise they'd get no work done.
