For me it came and went. I only once got a new cool redesigned Avis website. I liked the new feeling for MyAvis. However, I don't get the new pages anymore. Just the old regular web site.
Probably too buggy...

So - the new website seems to have arrived permanently, and I have a HUGE problem with it.
I am not permanently resident in the US - I spend my time in various residences in US, UK, Ireland and France. I have taken full advantage of this on the Avis website in the past, as often rates in the US for French residents are often one-quarter of those for US residents, for the same date.
On the new site, I can no longer do this - it eliminates the option to select a country of residence once my Wizard number is entered. Has anyone else come across this? OR does anyone know of a workaround?
Thanks

How do you tell the new one apart from the old one? I don't spot anything radically different from before in either IE 7 or SeaMonkey 1.11 (a Mozilla browser suite, but not using as up-to-date a Mozilla as the latest Firefox yet), and they both look the same once I give them a chance to "forget" me. (Obviously, they look a bit different if I'm logged in in one and not logged in in the other.)

I find the profile tag totally useless on FT. It seem the majority of people use it to indicate their home location, no matter where they are at the moment (it seems a lot of work to constantly update it, and it's called "location", not "current location") while a sizeable minority use it to indicate where they are at the moment (and then some of these ask questions which require knowing what their home airport is and just confuse the responders by the "location" being their current one rather than their home airport).
I wish FT would split this into two fields (each one which you could fill in or leave blank as you prefer), one something like "based in:" and and the other something like "currently in:".
... Meanwhile, did you perhaps just return from a trip from outside of the country and have cookies from that still in your browsers? Or did you log in at the new site once, and perhaps that set cookies on your browsers?

Most interesting was that I yesterday got the new one in IE and the old one in Firefox. My laptop is pretty new and has only so far been in VA, MA, NY, NJ, MD, DE and IL.
