Register now anyway & see what happens! IDK about Avis' system, but Priority Club will give U a bonus as long as U register before the stay posts to your acct.!
IF U want the DL 5K, just add the Coupon MUAA082 & your DL# just before U hand over the keys at return.

Question

Similar to the Drive Free promo - what does Avis consider 4 days -- I have a 3 day 15 hour rental coming up. Should I put in the 4 day code, or do I have to be resigned to the 3 day code?

Also, I noticed this in the terms: Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other AWD number, promotion or offer. Does that mean I can't use the AWD I have in the rental already - strange cause they don't specify a required AWD...anyone have any insight on using this promo? Thanks!

-Mike

MB, U will be charged for 4 days, so use the 4-day bonus code. Use the DL AWD, which is K817600.

For the DL promotion, you can use any AWD. I use my company's AWD and get the bonus miles every time.

can I add this delta coupon to a rental already underway? If so, how do I do it?

You can't. (You cannot even add a coupon code to a reservation that has already been made, you have to cancel and re-make the reservation, with all the risks involved in doing that.)

However, you might be able to call Avis and have them put the coupon code in. I have never tried this. I would call them up and say that you forgot to type in the coupon code.

Can I collect the DL 5000 bonus more than once? That could add up! I vaguely remember reading about it earlier but have been continuing to collect with AC.

Not completely correct. I ended up modifying my first rental (via CHM desk) to use the Delta AWD and coupon code as it only cost $7 more and I saw on my receipt that I earned 5200 Delta miles. However when I tried to modify my second rental later in the week in a different location, it jacked up the price over $100. My corporate code (which allows leisure rentals) apparently does not allow mileage to be earned as I recently realized I hadn't been earning miles but saw a line item on my "past rental agreements" specifically stating that my AWD doesn't allow it. Bummer, but at least I got the bonus once!

No...

...because your free weekend rental is itself a coupon code. Can't have 2 coupons in there at once.

I've had luck adding a coupon upon returning a car - generally have to go into the desk to do this, at least in my experience.

Its really a bummer that they are requiring a coupon # for the bonus miles. This has been the norm lately and basically forces a higher fare cause everyone know the coupons are what makes Avis cheaper :P

There is no need to use the Delta AWD. So far I have earned abt 120000 miles this year using the MUAA082 and my company's AWD number. It has worked like a charm so far and I have never had to call in to complain abt any missing miles.
