As confirmed by Avis customer services, not one of Avis' offices in Saudi is mechanical - no computer system - so no recognition of AvisFirst and no partner points as no Contract.

So you're telling us that the offices all have that local charm we've missed lately here in the US.

At least in CONUS you can get a Contract and if you've managed to have obtained AvisFirst/Preferred Select (liftime) you can get ahold of Cendant.
here, you're just flipped off avis Customer Service saying not our problem!

I hope they don't use camels to tow cars in Saudi Arabia!
I am going there next week.. and I am using Avis and renting a premium. I really wanted to rent the Chevy Lumina because it's similar to the new Pontiac G8 which I have not driven in the U.S., and it's considered "large."
The Premium category shows Mercury Grand Marquis. Now, is there any way I can switch it to a Chevrolet Caprice which is bigger than the Lumina? Or is it just Grand Marquis?
