As of 2/12/14: We've had quite a few "Hey, come use this AWD. It's great" type of posts. When the AWD doesn't give a good discount, but is only posted to try to get renters to use the AWD of someone so the poster can earn free days from their Avis Corporate account. From here out, please put the company/trade group/etc that's associated with the AWD or we'll delete the post to keep it on-topic here.

I use code L093590 which provides CDW, but I also buy premium insurance for $19.95 per rental from AMEX. In my case the rentals are generally for several days or more, so the backup insurance is only a few dollars a day. I have had several small accidents over the years using the same code, and I have never heard a word from Avis.
Thanks for the heads up, I just put this on my amex as well. Since you have had a few fender benders, can you run through the procedure when you have an accident with this service ?

Thanks,

KEn

The incidents I had were all prior to my using the Amex Premium insurance. In each case I just filled out the Avis "incident report" and provided the police report number. The code I use most often (L093590) provides free LDW. That's it. I never heard from them in each instance. I think it's a fairly routine thing for rental car companies. When I saw the Amex Premium offer, it just seemed like too good a deal to pass up. Maybe it's a bit of redundant coverage, but for just a few bucks a day, I feel better with it.

not sure

not sure how current these are, one tip is that they include the OLD ASAP code, which we know hasn't worked in years.

A113400 State of Florida code

Has anyone here used the A113400 State of Florida code that is not a resident of Florida? This is giving me a great rate for a March weekend in Ft lauderdale, but would like to ensure I am not going to asked for any type of state ID.

Thanks

CitiCorp AWD Code (A074800 )

I used this code yesterday (A074800 ) to book a car rental for late March. The code worked and I have a confirmation with a great rate, however, I was doing some shopping today and the Avis web site said that the code was no longer valid. Do you think that I will have any problems when i go to pick up my car or beacuse I have the confirmation should I be okay?

Just have to say this is a really amazing forum!
need to rent a car in florida for 3 week days. I tried using the L093590 code on avis but it isn't showing that LWD is included on the online reservation....

Would this be something that should show up online or will it only show up at
the counter.

Would really love to use a code that includes some of the insurance options as even though I've found some lower rates using other codes, the coverage adds up to be more than the car rental.

It will not show up on the reservation. It's part of the negotiated contract for the AWD#. L093590 has free LDW. Trust me..I've had to use it unfortunately. But if you have an Amex card, I strongly recommend also buying their Premium Rental insurance for $19.95 per rental, as a backup. In your case that would come to about $.95 cents per day.
