No unlimited mileage / kilometers (CPH rental)

I'm renting a vehicle for pick up at CPH airport, but every option with Avis has a kilometer limit. When I try to search for information about unlimited mileage on the Avis website, it states, "Most of our rental cars come with unlimited mileage. Only a few high-end car groups and a few locations do not. Most likely your car rental will have unlimited mileage."

Changing the car group doesn't make a difference, nor does changing the number of days on the rental, so it is obviously a location issue.

Might there be a discount code for unlimited mileage that anyone is aware of? I've done a search here and on google, but haven't found anything yet so asking here just in case anyone knows how to get unlimited mileage with Avis in Scandinavia.

For the record, Hertz offers unlimited mileage but for some odd reason their rates are triple those of Avis for our dates (for a lesser car group).

Are you picking up and dropping off at the same location? I find that if you are doing a one-way rental (pickup/dropoff at different locations), most of my eligible discount codes result in mileage charges applying to the rental.

Yes, picking up and dropping off at CPH airport. It's a long rental - 6 weeks. Because I thought it might be related to the length of the rental, I tried making a reservation for less than a month, for just a week, etc. and tried different car categories from compact to luxury and everything in between. Every one of them had limited kilometers.

Do you happen to live in Denmark? I always got limited mileage when living there (about 100 km per day or so); once I moved abroad and updated my address I was able to get unlimited mileage.

I used to live in Denmark, but now live in the U.S. My address has been updated to my U.S. address for quite a while. In fact, my current President's Club membership number is a completely new account from when I did live there.

But that's good information - it sounds like it's possible there is an issue with my location / residency in their system. Although I would have thought that the rate would have been much higher if they thought I was local. I'll investigate - thank you!

EDITED TO ADD: I've just reviewed my account which is only showing me a member since February 2023 and shows my U.S. address, U.S. phone number and U.S. Driver's license. Years ago, I had a different account number, also President's Club, with my Danish address, phone and Danish driver's license - this was primarily used for renting vehicles in the U.S. I also tried to make a reservation without being logged in, as a guest, and I'm also getting the limited kilometers.

Thank you! I’ll contact them.

EDITED: I'm on hold now with my third representative (supposedly a "specialist") and beyond frustrated. They are all unable to tell me why I'm getting limited kilometers, each one suggesting it is either the car type, duration, corporate code or location - AFTER I've confirmed to them multiple times that I've tried different car types, different durations, no corporate or discount code, and have multiple acquaintances (FTers!) who confirmed unlimited miles at the same location.

EDIT #2: It was suggested I phone the Danish number, and after another hold, I have been told that ALL rentals at this location, regardless of duration or vehicle, now had limited kilometers. I tried to explain that I've been told by others - even making a booking as recently as today (*t3nnents*) - that they got unlimited kilometers. The best the agent could do was ask me for those persons confirmation numbers so he could try to look up how they got unlimited kilometers because it was no longer possible unless there was a special code or corporate arrangement.

If anyone has a particular AWD that they can share for unlimited kilometers in Denmark, I'd be grateful to try it. I also tried to make a booking via the Danish Avis site, rather than US, and was still shown limited kilometers. And it's pretty stingy - the limit works out to only 75 km per day, which is pretty low even for a small country like Denmark. We'll use that up just driving around locally visiting friends and family, but also usually like to take some day trips to Sweden and thought of perhaps a multi-day trip further north and into Norway. At DKK 3.75 per extra kilometer, it could really add up.

Have you tried to make a reservation without logging in and then add the membership number later? It might have something to do with your account AWD, dates, or maybe IP address? I tried to book different dates with different car types, with or without login at CPH, they all comes with unlimited miles.
You can also try to use a VPN and search again, just to see if that makes any difference.
Or you can use something like Priceline and book the reservation with your Avis Wizard number.

Yes, I had tried making the reservation without logging in, on different browsers as well. And I tried multiple different car types and durations. I also tried to clear cookies.

Every time I try a private browser window, I get an error message from the Avis site. I tried VPN to Denmark, and tried Avis.dk instead of the .com site. All return results with limited kilometers and the last representative I spoke to today insisted that all rentals at CPH regardless of duration or car type are now limited mileage.

May I ask what location you were in when you got the result with unlimited miles? I will try a VPN to that country, if you don't mind sharing that.

I have set up tracking by AutoSlash to see if they come back with any options that would work. They usually provide Priceline results.

From the U.S., not logged in, no codes used.
Tried calling the US number as a nobody just calling to make a new reservation?

Thank you for this! I shall continue my pursuit to try to get a reservation with unlimited kilometers. Calling for a new reservation is a good idea that I have not yet tried.

I'm able to get unlimited km for rentals at CPH that are less then 4 weeks long (no corp code, not logged in). For anything longer it is indeed 75km / day. Do you get limited km even if you try to book the same dates as in the screenshot above? I see you wrote that you tried 1 week long reservation, but maybe there are still something like blackout dates.
