Incorrect return date - Ottawa
Just made a complainant. I've encountered a ridiculous mistake with the car rental service AVIS, at 1003 Airport Pkwy, Ottawa. When I returned the car, the worker asked me to just drop off the key and leave after I repeatedly asked if there was anything else I should do to end this rental. I did not keep the proof of returning date, and they made up a date and charged me $300 more. After discussion, they still refuse to return the money and further process it, even though I request to verify it using the camera or talk with that worker on duty. This is so unprofessional, and ridiculous mistake with nothing wrong with the customer at all. I will see if I need to see them in the court with the proof of the camera.
And BTW I always used Enterprise before, never have any issue with it. According to this experience, I can say Enterprise is much trustful and reliable than AVIS.

1. Welcome to FT. Hopefully you find us a useful group and hang around.
2. How did you have a "discussion" with them?
3. I'd recommend a web reply from AVis.com and let them know you have other proof of when you were in the garage (Google timeline, departing flight info, etc) and can provide that upon request
4. If no luck, try Twitter. Companies have been more responsive to public posts.
5. If nothing else, credit card chargeback or small claims court.
In any event, always keep your comments to them strickly to facts (actual dates/times/charges) and leave any feelings/emotions out of it ("Enterprise is much trustful and reliable than Avis", etc.) as they have no bearing on the subject at hand.
